Hi, I'm Faith

I'm originally from Kentucky, born and raised. I moved to South Dakota, and that is where I met my husband, Tim. After roughly nine years of brutal winters, we decided Florida it was! We moved a couple of times around Florida before finally settling into our forever home. (You can read more of our story at TnF Farms.)

I was saved when I was 15 years old. I've always believed in God, but my parents never took me to church. I had a friend in high school who lived with her grandpa, and his rule was, “If you have a girls' night on Saturday, then you all have to get up Sunday morning and go to church with me.”

One Sunday, the preacher said that Jesus loves us no matter what we have done. At that time, I didn't have anyone I felt truly loved me the way he said Jesus does. I decided to try and live by Christ.

That same grandpa took me to Tazewell Church of God in Tennessee, very close to where I grew up. There I met the pastor and his wife, Jr and Shirley Noonchester. They were my role models growing up. They strived to be like Christ to the best of their abilities, and in a lot of ways they were like parents to me, taking me under their wings and teaching me all they could. I still stay in touch with the Noonchesters. Shirley has since gone to be with the Lord.

Why “Planted by Faith”?

The name reminds me of a song Jr used to sing at church, out of an old red hymnal:

“Just like a tree planted by the waters, I shall not be moved.”

Sometimes I have a hard time sharing my faith. I don't know why, and it shouldn't be hard. This kind of puts it out there. If any of my products help someone else proclaim their faith to others, I feel like that's a win.

I'm working on Christian shirts, hoodies, jackets, journals, totes and coloring books for kids, and possibly some type of book. Maybe a book about my life and what I have been through to get to where I am now.
